KIPTAS, was established in 1987 with the name WEIDLEPLAN and by means of the foreign capital partnership for creating development plan and architectural projects. After the local elections of 1989, being inactive came into position of being liquidating, right after local elections of 1994, was being formed by taking the name of Istanbul Konut Imar Plan Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S which is a Metropolitan Municipality Institution.

KIPTAS which was established for bringing a solution to unplanned urbanization and shanty houses as its main duty, has went into action by means of completing its establishment on 8 March 1995.
KIPTAS which is serving as the important company of the building sector since 1995 continues to serve for Istanbul as being conscious of the mission it has. With the catchword of “50.000 residence to Istanbul” started to the construction with “BASAK-HILAL Collective Housing Project” on 17 May 1995.
KIPTAS; has served the advantages of the site residences, approximately 40.000 residences and roads, waste water and rain water canals, drinking water conveyance line, energy, telephone, natural gas lines, street lighting, landscape applications, forestation, kids playing areas, parking areas, health establishments, school, nursery and playfields from the beginning of its establishment.
The Aims of KIPTAS
Constructing quick and cheap settlements; creating modern and liveable areas without disturbing the natural structure of the city, protecting the forest and great divides.
For this purpose KIPTAS, creates projects and applies this for establishing settlements of which are aimed for all of the income groups, infrastructure problem was solved, combined together with its environment and nature, trustable and happy liveable places.
