CADIR VILLA (CADIR KOSKU)
Cadir Villa is another historical villa in the Yildiz Park. It is established as “Sedir Villa” in 1871 in the boscage which belongs to Cıragan Palace. The Villa have been kept closed for long years after the deposition of Abdulhamit, and it is being repaired as Cadir Villa after its assignment to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality by the Ministry of Finance in 1940 and being managed by a bakery owner whose name is Avadis Cakir between the years 1949-1960. Compensation Museum was established in the Cadir Villa after 27 May 1960 Revolution. Operating and using rights were given to Turing in 1984 with the other villas. Restoration works has started instantly with the assignment by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality on June 1995 and the villa was entirely restored.
HIDIV KASRI
Hidiv is the name that was given to Egyptian Governors by Ottoman. By the end of nineteenth century, Abbas Hilmi Pasha was assigned as the Egyptian Governor at a tender age, and the young Pasha who needed to stay long time in Istanbul, bought two waterside residences, for providing support from the Ottoman Empire regarding decreasing the English population in the Egyptian. The Pasha who bought the 270 acre of garden that comprises the upper plane and the hillside that is back to waterside residences; have the Italian architect Delfo Seminati to establish the beautiful young palace in the art nouveau style and as suitable to the architectural trend of that era. It is a special construction that compiles the two continents from the above sides of the Bosporus and with its tower that has a view of deep blue canal and green forests.
PEMBE VILLA (PEMBE KOSK)
Iranian Prince Emir Gurhan gave the Yerevan to Sultan IV. Murat in 1635 and the name Emirgan comes from presenting his because of this behaviour. The park was passed into other hands a few times which was remembered as Mr. Feridun later. It was passed into hands of Hidiv Ismail Pasha by the end of 1860’s and used as the backyard of the big wood palace that was established through the waterside. The Villa was bought by Satvet Lutfi Yozan in 1930’s. The government of Istanbul and City Manager of that that time, Dr. Lutfi Kirdar who accepted the invitation of Tozan stated that “This place is too much for one person”, then the Villa was disposed to the City by means of expropriating in early 1940’s. The Pembe Villa is established on a two storey building, in a typical Ottoman house style which is one of the three villas constructed by Ismail Pasha in the boscage. Its name comes from geranium pink which is the original colour of it.
SARI VILLA (SARI KOSK)
Sari Villa is another villa that was put into operation in Emirgan Park. Sari Villa which was established by Hidiv Ismail Pasha in the park has the Chalet style and a birdhouse view. Its plan schema did not changed along the years, which is gathering around a hall as a necessity of traditional living order of the Turkish people. In the construction which was designed by famous Ottoman architect Serkis Balyan, the needlework has a big importance which was enriched with bright colours. Sari Villa consists of three rooms and a living room in the upper floor, four rooms in the lower floor, a hall, a kitchen and a ground floor. It has features of the decorative art. Flower motifs, oil colour figures, outer side decorations are the typical samples of the intaglio art. The yellow colour was decorated in accordance with the birdhouse with the white.
